What’s your current position? How long have you been in this position?
Sydney Investment Director for Starcom, I have been in the role since returning from London in 2011.

Almost 3 years to the day!
Tell me about someone who has influenced your career?
I have been lucky enough to learn from some wonderful people in both Australia and the UK. I couldn’t single out any one person, there’s many who have helped guide and shape my career. From teaching the job basics, developing my leadership skills or just broader life advice. I still call many of them friends and really value those learnings. I’ve realised, just how important their experience and guidance was to a young media buyer. In turn, I feel a responsibility to do the same.
What do you find most challenging about your role?
Keeping up with the constant information flow and keeping across everything that is happening in this fast paced ever changing media environment - be it emails, tweets, news and industry trends. It seems you can never make enough calls, go to enough meetings or read enough to keep up.
If you could do any job what would it be?
Professional Golfer, although my handicap tells a different story.
What is your favourite Magazine?
GQ and Golf Digest.
What was the last campaign you did with magazines?
We have a number of prestige and beauty brands such as Richemont, Avon and Riedel who utilise magazines to reach targeted consumers groups.
Best compliment you've ever received?
That I am genuine and an honest bloke, it’s always nice to hear that others perception of you, reflect your own.
Who would you most like to interview for a magazine?
Adam Scott, it would be great to discuss his 2013 Masters victory.
If you could meet any one person (from history or currently alive), who would it be?
I think Winston Churchill would have been a great dinner guest, “Remember gentlemen, it's not just France we are fighting for, it's Champagne! ~ Winston Churchill WW1”.
