What’s your current position?
How long have you been in this position?
I’ve been at m2m for 2 years now.
Prior to that I’ve hopped around a bit even crossing to the other side of the fence, to sales and back again.
If you could have any job what would it be?
I always dreamed of being a professional tennis player. I didn’t quite make it but media is the next best thing. I just need to find a way to combine it with my love of travel.
What has surprised you most about working in Media?
Media is such a fun social industry where like-minded people really have all come together.
I don’t know anyone outside of media who loves their job and the people they work with as much as we all do.
Do you have a work/life balance?
Yes, this is really important and can be hard to achieve when working in Media. m2m has fantastic culture and Richard (our MD) ensures that work/life balance is a priority and leads by example.
What is your favourite magazine?
At the moment it’s Real Living and most of the home titles as I’m renovating a house. Elle has surprisingly become a new favourite and is my go to for a Fashion fix.
How do you describe your job to your friends outside media?
Friends and family still have no idea what I do exactly. I try to explain that I place ads on TV, Radio and in mags etc. with the aim of reaching a specific audience at the right place at the right time for them to act on something.
What are you passionate about?
I love food (not cooking, but eating out) and travelling everywhere. I’m quite fascinated with the middle east and I wish I’d been able to visit places like Afghanistan and Syria many years ago before they were destroyed.
What was the last campaign you did with magazines?
I have just booked a campaign for Big 4 caravan parks. We have a couple of different target audiences so spread our campaign across a variety of selected titles and have editorial integration in relevant feature articles.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Paris is my favourite city. It’s beautiful, full of history, culture, fashion and food. Plus it’s a hop skip and a jump from everywhere else in Europe for weekend Getaways.
If you could meet any one person (from history or currently alive), who would it be?
My Grandfather Andrew – He passed away not long after I was born and I’ve only ever heard amazing stories of his adventures. He worked for many years as a Detective in the police force and organised security for The Beatles when they came to Australia. He travelled the world and at one point worked for the UN and was stationed in Cyprus. I would love to ask him about all his travels, I think this is where my passion has come from.
If you were on the cover of a magazine, which one would it be?
Frankie – I think best represents my personality - it’s girly and quirky at the same time.
