Tell me about someone who has influenced your career?
Trudi Sampola who as the strategy director at OMD Melbourne.
She not only gave me a chance step up to a strategist, but was someone who was open to having a robust debate to help find the most creative communication solutions.
How do you describe your job to your friends outside media?
Not in a way that they ever seem to understand. Generally say I work in 'Advertising' or 'I recommend how our clients spend their marketing budgets'.
What is your favourite magazine?
Being an "amateur" interior designer, Real Living has been a long time favourite.
What do you do when you aren't working?
Enjoying the great food of Melbourne, trawling 2nd hand furniture shops for cool modernist pieces or scrolling Tumblr to feed my current GIF obsession.
What was the last campaign you did with magazines?
A cross platform partnership with Better Homes & Gardens for South Cape cheese where we encouraged consumers to share pictures of their food creations (that featured cheese) to inspire others.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
Given I didn't know there was such a job as media strategist it wasn't my current role. Options included, an architect, artist, owning a cafe / clothing shop or restaurant & graphic designer.
Best magazine ad you’ve seen?
A recent one that comes to mind is the iPad mini. A simple yet creative use of space.
