Tell me about someone who has influenced your career?
Over the past 25 years there’s been many influencers, including some creative, account service and media professionals whose passion to the craft has shaped my thinking and future direction. From a cultural perspective, the work of Leo Burnett is right up there. An amazing man with great vision and pride for excellence. Blaise D’Sylva, the North Asia CEO for Starcom was a significant influencer to my career as he encouraged me to work in Asia for 3 years.

What is your favourite Magazine?
Vogue is a long-time favourite and one that I bought from a young age. Whilst it lost its way for a while, the strength of the brand’s global equity helped steer it back on track.
What was the last campaign you did with magazines?
Recently we encouraged Sussan to extend their connection with women in magazines by using NFC technologies such as Viewa and Netpage. The results certainly demonstrated the cumulative effect of an iconic brand with great product in an engaging medium.
Best compliment you've ever received?
A client once told me “I never want you working for my competition”.
Who would you most like to interview for a magazine?
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook. I’d like to see if there’s any extras beyond the advice she shared in her ‘Lean In’ book.
If you could meet any one person (from history or currently alive), who would it be?
Mary Wells Lawrence. She was the first female CEO of a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, and the first woman executive of an advertising firm. Her book ‘A Big Life in Advertising’ absolutely inspired me to be even more curious and reach for the stars.
