NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield announced the appointment of Prue Cox as chief commercial officer.
In her new role Ms Cox will be responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s commercial operations including the growth of NewsLifeMedia’s revenue streams and establishing new revenue opportunities. Reporting to Ms Sheffield the role is effective immediately.
Ms Sheffield said: “I’m delighted to promote Prue to this new role, she is highly experienced executive who is the ideal person to take the company’s commercial operations forward. Her experience working in the commercial side of our business and driving the growth of two of our biggest digital brands means she is well positioned to build on our successes and create even more innovative solutions for our clients and consumers across all platforms.”
With over 15 years sales and marketing experience Ms Cox has been with NewsLifeMedia since October 2012. In this time she has had held the roles of commercial director and national sales manager and most recently managing director of taste.com.au and Kidspot.com.au. Prior to this she was the national sales director for SheSpot; manager, brand and content for Abundant Media; sales director Melbourne for Yahoo!7; and general manager Platform nine for ninemsn.

After an 18-month contract with the business commercial director Sev Celik is leaving NewsLifeMedia at the end of the year. Ms Cox will absorb the functions of this role as part of her broader remit.
